He will never leave you or forsake you, ever... know this truth deep in your heart. —no one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. as i was with moses, so i will be with you; i will never leave you nor forsake you. joshua 1:5.⠀

I would be sitting down about to eat dinner and pray and i would always say “dear heavenly father, i pray that one day i will become a mermaid. well before you make me a mermaid make sure my family knows i’m a mermaid so they will cost me in the ocean.” credit: @200proofgrace

@revealing.jesus inspiration below 🔽❤️🔽
.
hey revealers! when peter was walking on water to the lord, what caused him to fall? .
"but when he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “lord, save me!” jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, “you of little faith, why did you doubt?”" matthew 14:30-31
.
the interesting thing is that peter in fact turned to christ when he became fearful. he cried out to christ to save him from drowning.
.
so why would christ respond in such a way, "you of little faith, why did you doubt?" .
jesus seems to imply that peter's response to the wind was not good enough. sometimes as christians, we like to say that christ will always catch us when we fall. but, with this mentality some of us crumble at everything in despair as if christ was supposed to stop every form of hardship that comes our way.
.
but, this story proves otherwise. a hardship, "the strong wind," came to peter, and what jesus seems to want peter to stay strong against the wind and trust that the lord, who was giving him the ability to walk on the water, would also give him the ability to withstand the wind.
.
instead peter becomes frightened and starts to sink as he crumbles during hardship calling out to christ to save him. christ is always with us, and nothing we do is without the assistance of god. we must act and face difficulties with this in mind. .
"if god is for us, who can be against us?" romans 8:31
.
with christ, peter could have withstand the wind, but to see christ as someone that prevents us to meet hardship, one will never beat the goliath in our path. .
