Hi everyone! sorry for being pretty absent lately. with my left eye vision problems i’ve been taking things slow this year. i’m at my 2nd eye meds injection so far going to my 3rd soon. my eye is a bit better but hoping it will get a lot better. 🀞🏻 i will participate in some group shows this year with galleries that i love like @moderneden @havengallery and @thinkspace_art ( which this piece here is curently at. you can check their website for inquiries as i think it’s still available.). this piece is my fav piece that i made last year and it features the always gorgeous @ohthumbelina . πŸ’™. #thinkspacegallery #caughtinaloop #anxietyart #obssesivecompulsivedisorder #mentalhealthawareness #stuckinmymind #mentalhealthart #fineartportaiture #popsurrealismart #newcontemporaryportrait #seascapeportrait #notfeelingwell #instaportraiture #figurativeart #figurativepainting #figurativepainter #blueperiod #feelingblue #popsurrealism

Whenever you'd ask me why i take pictures be prepared to be drown in into a quite philosophical discussion. for me taking pictures is a way to get lost of myself and still find me renewed because of what – obviously literally – is in front of my lens. i believe that we mostly find ourselves in our relations to other people, that what is in the world we're living in defines us. i so often hear, that to know others you have to know yourself but isn't it just the other way around? think about it: how can you hear yourself when nobody is calling you? (that's why it is so important that every one get's a right to be heard.) taking pictures is to be irritated, to be challenged, to be questioned – and then trying to answer. sometimes the answer is blurry, sometimes rich in contrasts, sometimes shy, sometimes black and white, sometimes colorful, bright and enlightened – it always tells a story and there's always a glimpse of yourself – not because you choose to but because what's in front of your lens invited you to do so.

When life shuts a door open it again that's how doors work.
