Canary wharf is proving increasingly popular with diners and shoppers alike as our visit last saturday proved.
there were plenty of diners @plateaucanarywharf enjoying their brand new st tropez brunch in association with @chateauminuty.
portions were just right so we could enjoy our eggs florentine and royale as a starter whilst still having room for main courses and desserts.
they really do execute the classics well such as the pictured pasta arrabiatta with deliciously sweet cherry tomatoes.

I am a huge fan of asparagus and we are in that season at the moment but i don't know it was such a versatile ingredient until trying the asparagus menu @chinolatinoeu over the weekend.
sesame avocado, asparagus tempura maki roll was elegantly presented and for once i didnt miss seafood sushi at all.
the asparagus and edamame soup was a real winner with tasty wasabi foam and parmesan.
and sea bream parcel wrapped in asparagus was delicate yet filling.
i've never tried asparagus ice cream before and it was much enjoyed perhaps because it tasted like matcha ice cream.

First night dinner @vichycelestinscasablanca was all about high-quality french cuisine which was still dietician-friendly courtesy of head chef @s.bontour.
thoroughly enjoyed the pictured low temperature cooked egg on a bed of umami-filled cèpes.

Although the weather hasn't quite reached the giddy heights of last summer, i am so ready for it thanks to places like @therefinerybankside with the colourful, floral gin garden. the have done a wonderful collaboration with @silentpoolgin and @davidnealedesign.
the menu has numerous summery dishes such as crab on toast with crab mayonnaise and caperberries.

Always lovely catching up with @cooksreads_goesoutoccasionally and last night we were having an emirati feast @alfanaruk.
surprisingly the winning dishes were the seafood options. i didn't know prawns are allowed but i am not expert on emirati cuisine. these grilled tiger prawns were plump and juicy and flavoured with special spices. i also highly recommend the octopus as well.

I was heading to @ember_restaurant_shoreditch based on other people's recommendations last night but it looks like it has closed down. such is the terrible state of the restaurant industry at the moment, new restaurants don't seem to survive long at the moment.
however, one place i can rely on and has stood the test of time is @boisdale_uk.
they are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year hence they were offering their seafood platters at 50% discount. currently, it is at 30% discount which is still very decent.

If you are looking for authentic italian cuisine, look no further than @maximoitalianbistrot in kennington for a taste of sardinia.
the pictured plate of gnocchi tricoloure was a true highlight which included beetroot gnocchi stuffed with goat cheese, spinach gnocchi stuffed with ricotta cheese and potato gnocchi stuffed with asparagus dressed with butter, sage and parmesan cheese.
funnily enough when we were in sardinia recently, we were told of a famous restaurant in london who refused parmesan on seafood pasta to a customer and it turns out the restaurant was in fact maximo italian bistrot. this is how authentic they are.
